HISTORY

Augustus Oils Limited was formed in 1985 when a group of highly experienced professionals from the ESSENTIAL OILS and AROMATIC CHEMICAL trade came together with one aim in mind - to be part of the exciting development of essential oils as a modern raw material, building on a traditional trade spanning many centuries.

A privately owned company, Augustus Oils Ltd has expanded steadily, moving into its first essential oil and fragrance chemical factory in 1986. The previous facilities in Bordon, Southern England have been in use from 1994 until October 2009. We are now in a new factory and warehouse in Alton, Hampshire, new facilities that now offer us more space - more than ample Factory and Storage areas, Blending and Processing plant together with extensive Laboratories for Research and Development and Quality Control functions.

Considerable investment has been made in an up-to-date information technology and data processing centre, which facilitates a high degree of efficiency and reliability when dealing with all aspects of company operations. Augustus maintains an extensive live database of essential oils and other products ensuring that staff have access to the latest information regarding essential oil markets and current safety/legislative requirements.

 

FUNCTIONS

Augustus sources its wide essential oil range from the original growers and producers in many parts of the World. Major effort is invested in developing long term, mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers. Company representatives monitor the point of production, proactively encouraging to the maintenance and development of the local agriculture.

Conventional analytical techniques and modern, sophisticated equipment has given Augustus' experienced and highly trained staff the capacity to offer essential oils and aromatic chemicals to the tightest of specifications.
